Picnik

As many of you know I am a "Blog Stalker". I frequent many blogs for fun ideas. Many of these ladies use picnik for their photos ... I thought I would give it a try. I had a good time and will be using this more as time permits. Here are the projects I made all by myself. Enjoy! (I used the comic book effect on both.)

The Tooth Fairy Needs Grant Money

The Tooth Fairy made her 6th visit to our house. We have 2 more loose teeth so she will be back soon.

Happiness is...

Finding a heart shaped Honey Comb ;)

They are nice to each other sometimes.

Kids Say The Funniest Things

Here is my conversation with Lilly just after Will bit her.

Lilly - Mom, I am sure now that Will is a vampire.
Mom - How do you know that?
Lilly - Well, he must be a vampire because he just bit me. I must be a witch because I have been sharing my candy with you. Now I can cut off your head and bake you into a pie and Will can drink your blood.

It must be the Heaton in her (they are weird). :)

Daisy Duke Heaton March 1999 - April 29, 2010

This week has been a bad week. Daisy passed away. She has been our kid for 11 years. It was very hard on me to loose her because Chris had "pretended" not to have a dog for over a year. I did everything for her. Well, maybe I made the kids do a lot for her too.

She has always been a bit of a handful and semi destructive ... but Will and Lilly are too.

She was always happy to see us when we came home. She tended us when we were sick. And she even tended Chris when he fell off the roof and broke his head.

We are going to miss her a lot.
These are a few of the pictures I have of her ... poor thing has hives in two of them. I will post more later.

My Joy

My Joy gave me a super cool surprise the other day. She found a Coke Yard Sale in St. George. Oh it was good I was not there too. She got the cute little "jute box". It's a salt and pepper shaker. And it totally matches the cookie jar.

Notice my cute tile back splash. One day while at Home Depot I said they would look good in our house. Well, Chris was not impressed with the fact that they were $5 a square foot! Jon told him that it was a small space and just to do it. Thanks Jon! :) Our stove hood was in need of replacing. A new hood was in the $30 range ... totally doable. But a microwave hood combination would be really cool and free up the counter space. So I got the new microwave too! It has fingerprints on it so no pic for now. After the cleaning lady comes I will post, but don't hold your breath. Tile was $85 and the microwave was $168. Good news too we received a check from Boulevard Home Furnishings for $168. They refunded us our fabric warranty as they can't get the parts to repair a tear (that nobody can see). This project was meant to be.
